I got mine when it was released! Got to Best Buy at 4:20 and walked out with my new buddy at 6:20. So waited about two hours.

I'm pretty new to Apple products, but the latest 2 that i've picked up (iPhone4 and iPad2), have been pretty impressive to say the least. I lucked out in that a good friend of mine decided to wait the 5 hours in line at his local Apple Store, and offered to pick up my iPad2 for me. What are friends for eh ?? I've had mine since release night, and I just can't put the thing down, it's that much fun. Buh-bye laptop.

Hey have any of u guys noticed if the front glass on ur shiny new iPad 2 Is separating from the back by the home button and that the aluminum by the dock is kinda pushed out just my luck I wait in line for almost 10 hours and I get a lemon I don't know if I should take it back and get my money back and just order online and wait 4 weeks or hope they have some set aside for replacement cause I know they won't have any refurb yet what would u guys do

I was traveling Friday on business in Las Vegas. I was able to get away and to the Best Buy just off the strip by 2:30. Waited until just after 5:00 when they started escorting one at a time into the store and taking a personal order then directing you to the customer service registers. Estimate ~ 100 people in line. I think there were some who were disappointed.
I was 16th in line, and in talking to everyone around me, most wanted the 64G wifi in black. That was what I got as well. I didn't meet too many who wanted 3G.
Played with it on the overnight flight to Chicago. I love this thing!

I made 116th (of about 500) in line at San Franciscos Apple store this year, which was cool, made some friends in line from Malaysia and Japan.
It was well worth the wait, got my black 16gb wifi!

1st post!

Got mine from a local MacLife store. They sold out immediately but I put my name on their reserve list and paid $100 down... Got the call yesterday that their 2nd shipment came in and I am now the proud owner of a 32GB WiFi model!

The only thing that sucks so far is that I'm not happy with the Apple SmartCover. I really want the Targus VuScape case but it's not available quite yet.
