You can't preorder the ipad2. Not from apple, apple store, bestbuy, or walmart.

Well guess what, Ive had mine pre ordered since last Thursday. EDU-IPAD/MC916LL/S/N 64 IPAD 2 WIFI, BLK. I paid $757.74 and then got $100 off because of a special education discount that my college gives to good students who qualify from our Apple Campus Store. I get to pick it up on Friday @ 11, assuming the shipment from fedex did what it did last year, which it will be before anyone else gets theres. High five to me!

I have from a local apple retailer.
They anticipate first day supplies but I can't be bothered to queue and my iPad1's will still be working fine until it arrives.

Education purchase cannot be made unless you are a Student or teacher . It is not available for normal retail purchasing.......

Is there a substantial difference in the education purchase price for an iPad?

Just want to keep it in mind for the next time I make an Apple purchase, if it is worth the hassle.
