should I update ipad 2 to ios 6.1.2

    Hey all,

did some searching and found a little, but wanted to ask you guys. I have an ipad 2 and an ipad 4. Ipad 4 is on 6.1.2 with jailbreak. My ipad 2 is on 5.1.1 with jailbreak. I am trying to figure out if it is worth it to upgrade or not? I am happy with the ipad 2 and its performance. I don't need the upgrade really. I have seem some stuff on-line that ios 6 on ipad 2 is slower than ios 5. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any input.

I should add, I use this ipad mainly for some reddit, internet browsing, some kids learning games, and for flight planning. Likely less use for myself after I get a good case for my ipad 4.

It comes down to a personal decision on whether you want to be on the latest jailbreakble version of IOS before the current exploits are shut down (which could be any day now), or if, as you seem to suggest, you are perfectly happy with the device on 5.x given your expected use of it. Nobody can really answer the question for you

Personally, I would update, as I believe you should always be on the most recent firmware your use dictates, but I've personally never run into a situation where that has produced any significant disadvantage in terms of performance.

If you are considering the upgrade procedure, we have a guide here for jailbroken devices - HOW-TO Upgrade your 6.x Jailbroken iPad

    Good luck!

Thanks. Yes, I actually just used that guide yesterday to update my ipad 4!

Mainly looking for anyone here that has done that, and if so, had any performance decreases.

    Thank you for your help.
