Unauthorize iPad

I am getting a new iPad on Friday...yeaaaa!!! my husband wants my iPad 1. Can you tell me how to unauthorize it before I give it to him? I found "deauthorize this computer" on iTunes but they are referring to my laptop, right? Thanks!

Removing an associated device or computer from an Apple ID

To remove a device or computer from your Apple ID:

Open iTunes.
Sign in to your Apple ID by choosing Store > Sign In from the iTunes menu.
Choose Store > View My Account from the iTunes menu.*
From the Account Information screen, click Manage Devices.
Click the Remove button next to the device name you would like to unassociate.

you could also just restore and then enter his apple id during setup

i've got no "Manage Devices" item on my Account Information screen (itunes 10.6). can you specify where on the screen i should see it?
