Skype Problems

Hi,
I have some problems with Skype on the IPad 1. Of course, I just use it for chatting
But since some weeks, it happens that it suddenly crashes down; or I see that somebody writes me something, and when I go to the Chat log, it is totally empty..
Also it is not unusual, that I do get messages with a huge time delay

Does somebody have the some problems as I do?

Hi Laura,
I have an iPad first gen also and use Skype daily for work ie conference calls. I have never had that crashing problem with Skype, maybe a few sound quaility problems but overall it works great. Couple things come to mind, possible iOS upgrade needed along with possible Skype upgrades needed via app store.

Hi Laura and welcome to the Forum!

When an app behaves strangely it is best to close it completely and then relaunch it. From the home screen do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. Long press the app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it, now press the home button to return to your screen. It's also a good idea to close all these apps, as it helps the iPad run smoothly, let us know how you go.
