When I connect my iPad to the mains to charge it, my iPad does not indicate that it is being charged. Also the battery icon and % indicator are stuck on 43%. Any suggestions please. This is my virgin post.

When I connect my iPad to the mains to charge it, my iPad does not indicate that it is being charged. Also the battery icon and % indicator are stuck on 43%. Any suggestions please. This is my virgin post.
Hi, fvmw7460, and welcome to the forum. Good to "see" you and hope you enjoy your visit(s).
Have you tried a different mains wall plug? Have you tried a different USB cord (preferably, use the one that came with the iPad)? Have you made sure the charger you are using is for the iPad (it should say it's a 10W USB Power Adaptor with output of 5.1 volts/2.1A)?
If all the answers are yes, let us know and we'll try to figure something else out. Cause, obviously, it not charging at the mains is not "normal" behavior.

Yes this is unusual and the first items to check are your charger and mains outlet.
