Is eMail account information , including name and password, stored on a file on the computer and is all this information erased when A Reset All Settings/Erase All Contents and Settings is done? If not where would you find these files on the computer? When doing reset function should the iPAD and computer be linked? I am having a problem setting up send and receive eMail and was wondering if there could be a conflict between entries when setting up an account? Thanks.

Choosing erase all content and settings on your iPad restores it to factory. You don't need to have it plugged into any device to do this.
