I have the first iPad and im having trouble. It seems to be frozen on the side screen as if it was tilted sideways and the screen won't go back to how it would look if I were sitting it in its upright position. Does anybody know what to do?

Welcome! You don't have it locked with that little switch on the side, do you? You could also try a hard reset ~ hold the power button and the home button down at the same time until you see the Apple logo. Approx 10 seconds ~ then let it reboot.
