    iPad 1 JB trouble with cydia, Safari and Mail opening

    Hello,
    After a friend jailbreak last weekend my iPad 1, now Safari and cydia wont open. They launch but closes just inmediately. Also mail doesn t work anymore but it is like is was empty, it opens but nothing inside, a while blank App. Any ideas?

    We need a bit more information from you about this. Primarily, what iOS version are you running on the iPad and what jailbreak exploit did you use (e.g. Redsn0w, greenp0ison, etc.)?

    I have a suspicion that there's an easy fix (you need to do a tethered reboot) but without the info from the first paragraph, we can't help.

    Like the above poster said, it's an easy fix.
    Just download what ever program you used to jailbreak it(Like redsn0w) and just boot tether it! Problem solved
    If you need a little more detail just ask.. ^^'

    I wish it was that easy, but if he is on 5.0.1 then he needs 5.0 to select in redsnow.

    This is a very old thread, but if you have the same problem, it sounds like you need to boot tethered. So you need to use redsn0w to perform a tethered boot. See this tutorial and skip to Step 5 - TUTORIAL - Jailbreak iPad1 on IOS5 using redsn0w
