About LinkBacksLove my ipad1, but something has changed. I am running ver 4.2.1 and the button that used to lock my screen
Changed to a mute button. Is there a way to change it back?

settings - general Use side switch to mute or lock. Tick the lock

Sorry, but I don't understand. I want to use the silent switch as a lock switch and don't see anywhere in settings to change this.
Appreciate whatever help you could provide.

Not in Version 4.2.1 - you'll have to upgrade to the latest version of the OS to be able to do that. But I'm surprised you've only just noticed this, version 4.2.1 has been out for many months and this mute switch location has always been fixed under that version of the OS.

IOS 5.01 update loaded straight into ipad and I have multi gestures guys!
