If it is working, it's different to how it used to work
But it is certainly not working the same as it has on previous versions of IOS... I can't see it making any change when I flick the switch, BUT I have noticed my brightness change at other times without me touching the slider...

I have to constantly change the brightness setting in iOS 6 whereas in with iOS 5 I set it only once and it functioned as it was supposed to.
Sent from my iPhone 4S or iPad 3rd gen, whichever I happened to have in my hands at the time, using iPF.net
