It will not. iCloud will help to maintain your Mac / PC and your iPhone and iPad on the same page. It will also store your back up of your IOS device. As well as your photos. In addition it will maintain a record of your purchased music and apps. If by chance you need to restore the information that was on your IOS device it will aid you in doing that.
