No, but Goodreader can.... $.99 in app store. Goodreader reads PDF's and several other formats... and most (NOT ALL) prefer it to iBooks for PDF's.....

Use pages to make PDFs for iBooks
GoodReader can not do a a text search in a PDF like iBooks. That is a neat feature of iBooks that I am increasingly using every day.

If the OP has Pages your suggestion is great.... but to spend $10 for pages, and then the hassle of converting...etc...... is not so great... Goodreader = problem solved....Bremen Cole
