Anyone self-pub in iBookstore directly?

    Anyone self-pub in iBookstore directly?

    I decided to bypass Smashwords and just uploaded mine directly. I was wondering how long it will sit in "pending". Anyone else do this?

    I would really like to, but from what I've read, you can only submit from an apple computer, and I don't own one yet.

    I haven't tried it yet because I'm already submitting through Smashwords and have used their ISBN. If I opt out of Smashwords, can I still upload directly and continue to use their ISBN noting them as the publisher?

    Self-published to iBookstore

    Hi, It took about 5 days for my self-published book to be up on iBookstore.

    Now my question is, how do you follow the ranking?

    I went the smashwords route. What are the advantages of bypassing SW? Aside from not sharing royalties?

    One has to have a US Tax ID to be able to use Apple iBook publishing.
    That sucks. They don't cater for people outside of the US?
