I just finished MIAMI PURITY by Vicki Hendricks. Beautifully written and very noir. In the middle of THIEVES LIKE US by Peter Spiegelman, and TELEX FROM CUBA. Enjoying them both.

    Conrad's "Heart of Darkness."
Haven't read it since high school. Appreciate it more now. And it's free in iBooks.

"South of the Limpopo" by Dervla Murphy. A fantastic travelogue about South Africa during and after the 1994 elections.

    Umberto Eco's The Prague Cemetery.

It's a magnificent book and the iPad makes it even more enjoyable!

Fifty shades of grey. Just wanted to see what all the fuss is about. I can't see why it's addictive? It's not well written and I can put it down with ease therefore it's not ,for me, that spellbinding. I can remember reading Twilight, Harry Potter, all my murder mystery books in two or three days flat!

Just finished "The Scariest Place in the World" by James Brady about the Korean War. Just started on "Oliver Twist" (freebie - Public Domain) by Dickens. Man, I love iBooks! Kindle app is cool too but iBooks is the best. I really like the way the iPad and iPhone sync on both too.

Currently i'm reading "Babe", the story and life of Babe Ruth. Very interesting and well written, must read for any baseball fanatic like I am.
