Hi,

I have some PDF files which I added to iBooks by sending them by mail and then I used the function open in iBooks.
I have now the problem that every time I connect the iPad to the pc and synchronize it the books have disappeared from the library, even though they appear in I tunes. I have not even activated the synchronization of books in iTunes.

Has anybody seen the same problem?

Yes, the same thing happens to me every time I sync.

I just manually move them back to the iPad.

I have no idea why the PDF`s keep disappearing but would like an answer myself.

I think your iTunes is sycning with your iPads iBooks automatically.

If the pdfs aren't in iTunes it deletes them.

your answer sounds logic to me but what to do about it. How do I get the pdf's into iTunes?

I'm actually not using iBooks much, only for pdf's otherwise I'm using kindl because the iBooks store is in my opinion hopeless.

I don't have that problem when I sync them through iTunes. Simply add your PDFs to iTunes (File>Add File to Library) and it will put it in the iTunes library. Sync your iPad, and it will be available in iBooks all the time.

That makes perfect sense.

However it isn`t working that way for me.
My PDF`s are in iTunes and it still deletes them.

It is also deleting most of my ePub books as well though so my problem might be something different.
