Its now only once every 2 days or so that he comes so i don't see a problem with it. If you dont like the feature then you can of course price your items at a price that will be snapped up, but then it will take you longer to save money to progress onto other machines. Also if you price your items low, then Greg will not buy from you as your items will hopefully already have been sold.
Max prices are a great idea, can you imagine the amount of items at stupid prices if there was no max? Materials will be sky high and no one will be able to afford to upgrade and then people will not sell or buy these products and hoard them all for themselves just to make sure they can upgrade.
Even with the 'Greg mechanic' in place, prices do rise and fall, some people will price high, some people will price low to sell things. You can always find bargains in the paper...you just have to search for them. :)
I often find that low level players have not yet realised that you can increase the price of items and so put them on at the price that pops up when you click the item to sell. These are obviously bargains but i cant help feel sorry for them when they are trying to progress in the game...i wish i could send a message to them and tell them to increase their prices a bit! Even when i find a low level player who has increased their prices, i try to help them out buying what i can as i know what it feels like to not have that much.
With just these two ideas, the whole game will not be fun anymore. Its a game, its supposed to be fun...can people not just let it be how the developers have imagined it to be?
Your suggestion to have the items expire is a great idea and personally, one that i have actually thought of before...especially when i do need something bought and it is not selling.
This is not an economics game, so try to be a little less serious about it, try to enjoy the amazingly fun game it can be (when the lag has gone anyway!!!)
Hope this doesnt sound too nasty, i just wanted to give another perspective to your ideas x
