In terms of trading, are deeds, markers and mallets worth more than building materials? Or?

I can't believe I have harvested 4 mallets this afternoon but no deeds or markers whatsoever! Why is this so unbalanced?

No but I do have 2 deeds I can trade for 2 mallets.

I use to get markers predominantly but now it fluctuates.
