Hey folks, I'm on level 29 now. No smelter yet and did not open mine. Working my captain 3 achievement. I've got over 13000 coins. Should I buy a smelter or shld I save up for the juice maker? Ice cream maker shld be much later right?
And I don't understand why some folks at lower levels already have some of the expensive equipment. Where do they get the money without levelling up?

Happy farming!!
I'm assuming they gain money by mostly selling goods through the side walk. Trust me, it will add up fast if you just concentrate on making goods and selling it on the side walk. I'm trying to do that myself since I'm running low on coin. On the other notes about the smelter, I believe there are many post and recommendation on that a few pages back on this thread. I say save the mine and the smelter last. It takes lots of money and too much time to make. Buy the juice, ice cream, then jam maker ... smelter can wait.

I second this... I spent so much money on the mine and smelter and i hardly use it now, i have no need for the bars until i get the jewellery maker anyway and for the amount of time they take, they do not sell for much.Originally Posted by foreverluv
Try to make sure you put stuff on to queue before you leave the game ie. for bed or dinner...whatever, even if it is something you are not going to need, sell it.
I find cheesecakes sell really well, and i have a stock of cheese and cookies and so i fill my queue up (4 at the mo) and by the time i come home from work the following day i will have made 2,000 coins from me not being online.
Being level 35, i've only just gained access to the jam maker and bought it as i had saved up coins beforehand. I find it doesnt do much for me yet as i can only do apple jam and it take 6 hours to do and doesn't sell for that much, but i like to have it to help out others who may need some for boats and truck orders that they are doing. Knowing how rare bars are, and how many bars it takes to make just one piece of jewelry, I think it's smart to buy smelters when you can and start making and hoarding bars. Because once you have the jewelry maker, it's almost impossible to keep it going.Originally Posted by VixsterV

Considering the incredible amount of time bars take and the relatively short production time of the jewelry, your bars get eaten up incredibly fast.
