I'm just not a fan of the trading culture that's sprung up in here. Never used to be like that. Seems to be since the expansion items came out. I'm fairly well off coin wise and would sell to broke farmers for a coin. I feel that if I'm buying something I need it shouldn't come on the condition that I sell a specific item in return. After I've bought something I always ask if the seller needs anything and will help if I can.

Fair enough but what about materials for example? Each of us harvests certain materials with higher or lower probabilities... you can sell your spare all the time and make cash but it helps much more if you can trade them directly so both farmers gain an advantage. And it speeds up the process as well, so that you don't have to go hunting for what you need with the money you just received from selling your surplus.
Agree on expansion items, but they will hopefully soon go old-fashioned. I have never traded them for other goodies other than different expansion materials.

I get why people do the trading thing, it's just not for me. If I have materials for sale I will ask who wants them. I will get my own materials the old fashioned way tho. Might take me longer to get there but I'm ok with that. I'm more of a pay it forward sort of person.
