I *think* you're trying to re-gift an egg which was previously given to you. Way back when MPS first came out, you could do that ... but I believe they changed the program awhile back, and you can no longer re-gift the same egg. You need to incubate/hatch/grow the egg, and make a new egg from it ... then gift that 2nd generation egg

Hey! Thanks for friending me, those who did. I have some eggs to give away but when I click on "give egg" it keeps telling me "Your friend's shop cannot be visited at this time. Please try again later." Any idea what that's about or how to fix it? :(

Most often, it's either the MPS/GC server isn't accessible to you at the moment (u have Internet connection up, right?) or you have a different version of MPS than the friend you are trying to visit. Try visiting again later. Sometimes, powering your IOS device completely off, then restarting MPS, will reset things too.
