Sound problem

Make sure that the little button above the volume rocker is up (no red dot showing). Sound is on? Volume is up? What iPad do you have?

I am really new at this just received the iPad 4 for Christmas I have the problem fixed now, but where would I find the volume rocker (for future reference). Thank for replying to my question.

Have a look at this photo (of an ipad3):



The iPad4 (the newest, newest one) is a bit different as it has a Lightening connector versus the 30-pin dock. But, the volume rocker is still in the same place.
