The best I can do is move it off as far from my Home screen as I can. This is on the iPhone, but I guess it will make the iPad as well. :(

Does anyone else experience the strange situation I have when syncing my iPad and iPod in iTunes 10? The bar at the bottom of iTunes starts off by showing the correct amount of free space on the device. But as soon as Stage 1 of the syncing begins, the free space jumps to "Over Capacity by 4.8GB". When the syncing completes, the free space quantity replaces the Over Capacity display. This is quite spurious, so what the hell does this mean?

Hi there

I wonder if anyone has this problem and knows a fix: When I open an attachment in mail (e.g. a PDF), it opens fine and I can view it, but the menus disappear so there is no way to get back to the mail program. Restarting is the only fix I found. I can go back to the home screen, but if I then return to mail, the PDF is still there full screen with no menus.

Bug, or user error?

I am working with the iPhone Configuration Utility to help develop a more secure iPad. I am looking to increase password security, etc.

I created a basic profile that is a stronger passcode for my device. I am not interested in jailbreaking at this time. When I try to install the profile I receive:

Invalid Profile
Profile format not recognized.

I was not able to find out too much information on this generic message. Does anyone here have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Using FTP/Land to load .imp or .rmap files

I purchased a program called Two Nav for mapping with my Ipad. I want to install my own map. The file format is .imp or .ramp(raster map). I know it can be done because I saw it demonstrated on an Ipad. I spoke with one of the Admin in the Compegps forum site (TwoNav forum) and they said they don't support transfering in I-tunes yet and to use FTP/Land to transfer the map. I tried I-tunes and the program shows the file but it will not show when that program is open.

Can someone get me started or explain how I could transfer my file into the Ipad using FTP or Land?

I can supply a link to the file if that helps.

Thanks,
