Well, I have now spent the night rearranging my islands, I have taken the less is more approach and am quite happy with the end result. Please take aloof and let me know what you think. I am now going to furiously save for the next island in the hope of making it a Creche depending on how many more habitats I can get. Thanks to all of you here who gave me the inspiration.

Hello to everyone on this forum! I have been lurking since a while and felt is now time to join the club if you allow me to do so.
So far i have not been adding any friends but of course will revise this now. I would also be grateful to visit other player's islands.
I have been fortunate enough to breed almost all of my dragons by pure luck when i started in october, not realizing how some were so difficult to breed! Beginners luck probably. Of course i have read each and every message and made notes. Resulting in masses of little pieces of paper ! Fyi i am located in switzerand.

Don't give up, you will get them. Do you switch up the combo's order of breeding after awhile? I also suggest trying one combo for quite a few times...maybe 20 or so. I know there have been a lot of people that get a rare first or second try but I can asure you that is not the case for everyone..I had most of my rares in double and the fatest was on try 3...I think that was one of the last rares I got. One of my rares came on try 29.. These are all tries consecutively which is why I always say it takes patience and persistence. Hope you get something soon! :thumbs:

I do not have any proof but I did not get any of the 3 big rares until I removed the boosts. I actually just put the boosts back on my islands yesterday or the day before. I really don't know if it did the trick or if it was just my time to get them. I guess I can comfortably say I believe it's a good chance that it raises the percentage of getting a rare...maybe...lol. This game! Argh! :thumbs:
