Don't know if this helps, but got my first sandstorm with air and quake, and my second one with mud (level 6) and air ( level 10). I read on the dragonvale wiki that u have a better chance if the mud is a lower level than the air. It still took a lot of tries though.

It seems there might be a glitch in the system, not one I mind though: I just bought the tree and less than an hour later I had 6 gems on it already. I gave out 4 and have to wait until 2 more friends are eligible to receive again. Sweet!

Nice! Is it like it was before that if their name is greyed out you can wait a hour or two and send them? I'm noticing that problem a lot more now that I can send out 6 a day...most of the time 1 or 2 of the people I had sent to the day before and it doesn't want to let me send them gems 2 days in a row....

I admire your patience to get that close to saving up your gems for the tree. I just caved and bought mine. I figure compared to all the money I spend on iBooks, backflip certainly deserves a bit of my money too. They have kept me entertained for months now

Just got another 48hr!!! It's crazy, first two months I got nothin, and this is my second this week. Seaweed+firefly in the regular breeding cave this time. Not sure what this combo usually yields, hopefully sun or rainbow being that I just got a moon
