I'm new here and also a big DragonVale fan! Been looking at this thread and I just HAD to register myself
As many of you, I'm also struggling to get those rare dragons.. Except for that damn SUN dragon, just hatched my freggin 3rd one :P
If it wasn't for that habitat update, i'd already sold him!

At 10am this morning I started building another large cold habitat (for my baby reindeer) which takes 24 hours ... it is now almost 1pm and the countdown timer is still at 23 hours ... HUH???

Everything looks really strange without the snow I never had DV before the last update, so does only moons come from sonic and storm or do you get suns too really want mine to be a moon :-)

Although I won't complain if it's a sun as I have neither ;-)

I didn't like the snow at first but then I got use to it so it will be strange for me I think when I do the update.

You can get both from sonic/storm.

What lv did u start getting sun mon or rainbow? I am on 17 can not seem to get them

Only when i zoom in. When i zoom out they disappear. (im on an iphone btw) and i cant zoom out as far as i used to either cant see as much of my park. Im currently waiting for my new island to be built so i can rearrange my islands again

PS/ my bluefire/ crystal combo was a rainbow

oooh, that's weird. I have an iPhone too and only just updated but I too have disappearing visitors.
It really sucks we cant zoom out so much. When I first got the game I could zoom out to see all my islands at once and then the last updated meant I could only see one whole island at a time but could also see closer up which was nice. This seems closer in all ways again. *sigh* So glad for another island but man it's going to make it harder to rearrange again.

More excitement! Just went online and there will actually be another island at a future level (7 total inc EBC) and a total of 28 habitats. Baby Dragonland ... Yay!

Yay! It would be even better if it was a specific baby habitat but I will settle for that, haha.

As much as I LOVE to receive gems, and I really do, I don't think it should be too easy to get them. There has to be some challenge, something that keeps you playing. I think if you get gems too easily you miss out on a huge aspect of this game - decision making.

I agree! Can't make it too easy or where's the fun?
I might buy the gem tree to help clear my list though...not sure yet. GT500Girl will probably benefit more though, hehe.

It's already been said but patience is the key. A week is not all that long so you might have to just lower your expectations a little, hehe. You just have to keep trying and swapping (order or combination) and hoping, hehe. Good luck!

You can be 100% reassured. Nothing has gone missing except for the snow. Only problem is that now I REALLY need an iPad. I can't zoom out to see my whole island which will become a problem when I am decorating the new ones - how can I possible make them look perfect if I can't see the symmetry!!

Oh, and a big congratulations on your Rainbow and Sandstorm (evil little man!). I finally got my Sandstorm but my luck with a Rainbow didn't get any better over Christmas / New Year. Still crossing fingers though!

I soooo agree about needing an iPad. It was hard to rearrange before (my arm was sore for days after my last major re-shuffle!) but now it will be even harder without at least a one full island view!

I guess I need to thank my hubby for my Christmas present this year. He surprised me with an iPad and right before the update, how cool is that!
I have a 48 in the normal cave hoping for a moon.
