I'm still unclear how to get the new dragon. I won at least 20 first place races and nothing? I don't get it

Does anyone have the same problem I have with the races? The game seems stuck on Electric Skies, and every time I have tried it, with my Lightning dragon, I come in 4th! I have never been less than 2nd in a race!
I don't want to race if I keep losing my 50k every time. I only have one fragment so far because I can't win this way.

I tried shutting off my iPad, but it did not help.
I'm afraid to reload DragonVale for fear I may lose my game completely!

Edit: I just tried the game on my phone. It came up Electric Skies, I ran the race (3rd) and then tried again. Got Rime or Reason...and won the race. The problem is now gone fron my Pad too. So weird!
I now have three fragments!

I don't know if someone already gold it. But i read that you get 1 peace in 6 hours when you race for Kairos. BUT....... I won 2 pièces in 2 minutes. )))). So, keep on trying people!!!

6 hours per piece was the case when the Perch of Kairos first came out. I found out from Dragon Vale Wiki that Backflip Studios changed it since a lot of people were complaining of the rigged wheel. Now you can get several pieces at any time. I'm down to my last piece of stage 1 chronolith but it's getting to be a pain and I'm actually considering buying that last piece with gems (150 gems).

Less than five minutes 2 brand new pieces on my final stage Kairos. Only five more pieces and I can summon the new legendary dragon wooooohooooo I'm very excited good luck to all. I normally say Breed on!!!! But this time I'll say Race on!!!!

Not even one piece? That doesn't seem right.. If I recall correctly, The very first time I spun I got one piece immediately then after that zero for many hours. That's what's making it annoying. It's like: "Here you go". then "BWAHAHAHAHA!!!". :P

Ugh that sucks lol.. Well guess I gotta keep trying. So once I get 21 pieces then what? (1 year later) lol

Have you updated your Dragonvale via app store? Then purchase the Perch of Kairos from the Habitat section of the Market, then enter the race. Maybe that's the case.

i have been racing for hours and hours and hours.... i got the first pieces fine except for that last piece- and i have not had any luck at all. i mean really, i am soooooo sick of racing- will we have to race to get the next pieces? and if so, will they be even HARDER to get? if thats the case forget it! lol -i don't need a dragon THAT bad!
