Interesting bit of information:
It has been confirmed that if you breed the new equinox dragon with a sun dragon, it's possible to get the solstice dragon. So if you missed the June solstice and can't wait until December, you can try that.

It sounds like you will have a better chance with equinox+blue moon/solstice, but the fail times would be longer. I have already bred blazing and water 10+ times and blazing and water 3 times with no luck. I guess my lucky streak is finally coming to an end. It was fun while it lasted.

Edit: also remember that the paper is only here till the 24th. I would suggest breeding today and tomorrow for the equinox because the first few days a new dragon is out seems to be the luckiest.
