I don't even understand why anyone would say "no thanks" to gem producing dragons and choose to display rather than hatch. Can someone clear this concept up for me?

Just something else to look forward to an egg collection I got to gem ruby dragons swimming in their island now I want two egg ruby to display I am trying to have two eggs of each dragon to display kind off a lot I might stick with only collecting the rare ones

Because some people are collecting the eggs like they do with the dragons. Some of the eggs are really pretty!

I used brass n flower got gold both level 10 hope it works but results r diff for all good luck

Also its because once all 12 gem dragons are released, the gemstone island only has enough room to hold 12 gem dragons, so 1 of each kind. Therefore to have more than one of each kind of gem dragon is pointless in the long term, and is only good for collecting 1 gem per week until it is eventually replaced. I just bred my 2nd Ruby and I think I am going to put it on display for the aforementioned reasons... If I get a 3rd then I will hatch it and collect the 1 gem per week until it will eventually have to be replaced and then I will sell it.

Ohhhh! I guess I was confusing rare with ............what is rare then? Oh boy......I'm not new to DV, but new to help from forum. I did it all on my own until a bit ago, level 20 or so. I guess I'm just still clueless.

Which are rare? Gems, I guess, but what else? Maybe like valentines day, etc?
