As crazy as it sounds, the gene theory totally works! Just got my second rainbow. First one with bluefire on the left and 2nd gen. Crystal on the right and now 3rd gen. Firefly on the left and 2nd gen seaweed on the right. I'm so happy it's ridiculous

Enjoy the heat! We've had -40 temps up here for 3 weeks running and we're breaking all temperature records for cold in November! My heating bill is off the charts ($1500 a month) just trying to keep my house warm from the bitter cold. You can dream of North Pole at night to cool you off...I'll dream of Florida. LOL
My bluefire is a happy little beast, isn't he? Maybe it's cuz I stuffed him with so much food as soon as he hatched. LOL
Thanks for all your help in breeding suggestions. I'll keep you posted on how I do with the other rares.

Lol you wouldn't say that if you lived here. Well maybe you would with the temps your having! lol We always want what we don't have though I guess. Winters are usually really nice but it's staying hotter than usual this year for longer. 90 degrees and humidity. It's awful. Were gonna get a cool down into the 70's starting tomorrow which will be nice. I think you have it way worse right now though! Wow! I would have a heart attack if my bill was that much! I feel for you! He is looking happy! Now you will probably get another soon. I remember that's what happened to me.

Great! Right now I'm not having much luck on the other 2 rares. I'm trying scorch and snow.

Congrats to all who have succeeded in breading a rare. I still haven't been able to do that yet *sigh*
But when reading this tread it seems like it is the first moon, sun or rainbow that is difficult to get, and then it gets more easy to get a rare. Any thoughts?

Hmmm...yeh, that may be just about right. I can only speak of the Rainbow and Blue Fire because I haven't got Sun or Moon yet.
