I was spending so much time balancing which dragons were in what habitat and with what other dragons so that each habitat would fill at the same exact time as closely as possible. And the boosts! That is when I chilled out. I also realized that with the max level being 20 (which it was at the time), i had no reason to hurry and finish the game. By the time I decided that I would have more fun if I was not trying to optimize every second, that is when I started to care about decorations. Before that, decorations were a waste of money, with a small value for the experience points you got for them. A little after I started to care about chilling out and decorating etc, that is when the shrines came out. So at that point, I did not rush for the shrines, but looked at it as another goal. Might explain why i do not have any gold shrines yet, but they are coming along. I never would have bothered to play DV if I thought it was a graphic design game. Goes to show that we can all like different things about DV at different times and that our likes and focus can change over time.
