It wasn't a flippin' conspiracy - it was an extremely well conceived plan to motivate people to buy gems.

(1) Use social media to provide a leak to get things stirred up. Leap Year Dragon, 29 minutes, sell for $3.5M, game-changer, etc. (Anticipation, Buzz, Excitement)

(2) Make sure everyone is aware that this very special dragon will only be available for a very short time. (Scarcity, Anxiety)

(3) Introduce the dragon and make it very easy to get the first one. (Satisfaction, Craving).

(4) Lock the gates and make the new dragon very hard or perhaps impossible to get for a period of time. (Desperation, Panic)

(5) Open the gates in the 12th hour and make the dragon easy to get again. (Relief, Gratitude, Satisfaction - the loop is complete).

It's called marketing. I've been in it most of my life. Which is why I tried so hard to warn people not to buy a second one during step #4. The process is a good thing to aware of, especially here in the U.S. as we're in a presidential election year.

I just got it you guys! That last post I replied to from flattsfanatic....I said if I get one more try which there it was....my regular breeding cave was done and ready so I sped up a swamp in the hatchery....last try...this was to be it! I put back in my gene theory firefly/seaweed (reverse order of the pair that got me my first 2 rainbows) and wouldn't you know it! I got it! No way will I speed it up! Haha

I didn't buy any. I can't afford to. I basically got it twice in a row with cold + love, and another with blazing + mud (wanted a rainbow but can't complain). I have 12 of them. Looking to breed a rainbow once this dragon gets discontinued tomorrow when i try breeding both golds again.

hey Frenzzz, i am trying hard to breed a LYD as today is the last day of its existence in DV
I have two loves and two colds and trying for it non-stop in both the EBI and the Cave.. but cant seem to get a LYD..
Could you ppl suggest the levels of the dragons for love and cold..
My 2 loves are Lvl 14 and 12 and 2 colds are Lvl 13 and 10..

I got both level 10 love and cold. But there have been others with higher levels. I would try a pair with the same level if you have any.

Hey congrats. My son is happy it worked for you. Hope we didn't send you all of our luck to you and I miss out. LOL. Can't remember which way I got my first. Got 4 hrs to go backhand read. SO HAPPY IT WORKED

I need help, the LYD is gone tomarrow and I haven't gotten anything but a bunch of crystals, other random dragons and a waste of gems!

What's been successful is love and cold. Any rainbow combo would work. Good luck!
