I've streamed successfully before in hotel rooms but the place I'm staying in right now.... I can't get the airplay icon On the ipad (2) and the Apple TV3 can't even get the time and date when it first starts up. It does see the network however, in Settings/General.

I'm thinking there's nothing I can do here. I cant even get to anything on the ATV...no Netflix, nothing. I don't really want to Reset All Settings on the ATV.... It's just one night.

Guess next time if I want true portable reliability ill need to also bring a router to complete an independent WLAN... Just for the Airplay - IP service would be another matter.
