Simple:
1.- Better Processor, Apple A6 wouldn't hurt.
2.- Better camera, a no brainer, at least 720p.
3.- Better screen and/or resolution.
4.- ¡¡¡NO CHANGE IN FORM FACTOR!!!, iPad 2 its fragile already (specially comparing it with 1st gen), making it slimmer would destroy it, unless made with graphene or something.Main System:
iPad 2nd Generation, 32GB.

Still happy with my iPad 1 , iPad 2 is too thin , to buy an iPad 3 would be a USB port to attach my hard drive , better screen with retina , like the iPhone 4 has , or without an USB I would want 128gb model , now have 64 gb and its nearly full , problem with the now ups 5 pc free is if you buy movies and remove them for space you need to pay again , or sync to a pc to save the movie , which sort of kills the pc free part , hope apple get movies into iCloud soon , then it won't be a problem
