Lighter weight or smaller size
If you were to have an iPhone and an iPad 2 using iOS 5 you could take a picture on either device and have the photo on the other device in seconds via Photo Stream. I took a picture of our dogs with my iPhone earlier today. Within 10 seconds it was on my iPad as well as my iMac computer. No Bluetooth device that I know of can do that.
FWIW I had a Motorola Android phone for a time but after a few months switched to an iPhone 4. The Android Apps were difficult to buy and often buggy, trying to get music and photos on it from my computer was a pain...I just spent way too much time working on it instead of enjoying it. The difference in how well the iPhone, the apps, syncing everything, etc. works compared to the Android is night and day. Not to mention how seamless using the iPhone is with my computer. I would never ever consider going back. I've also used a couple Android tablets and they seemed so heavy and crude compared to my iPad.
Each to their own of course and I'm sure you'll find something that works for you. However mixing Apples and oranges (pun intended) is probably never going to work well.
Forgot to mention that I print from my iPad (using PrintBureau) without any problems. The photo editing thing I'm not familiar with...I edit everything on my computer.
My two pence.

Multi gesture on ipad1 is apparently coming back soon with iOS 5.0.1 announced to developers.Originally Posted by Victguja

I have the iPad 1 and I do not see myself upgrading at all. I'm in school and the format for all the videos is in flash. So I will need to start searching Before the end of the year for something else. Sucks!! I love my iPad, but it's grossly inefficient for my school work. Boo!
As others have pointed out, based on the latest dev release of iOS 5.0.1, it looks like multitasking gestures will be enabled on the original iPad with the next update in a few weeks.

In any case, millions of folks are happy with the "walled garden" approach Apple takes as the end result is hardware and software that "just works" - on a number of levels. That they've become the most highly valued company on earth is a testament to some wise thinking IMHO.
However folks like yourself that want to work outside of the "sandboxed environment" certainly have other choices. Best of luck with whatever you end up with!
Phew...took this thread way off topic...apologies. Back to our regularly scheduled programming...
