It is always with me. Always. Are you crazy?
I carry it sometimes, but leave it at home a lot too.
I only use it at home on the couch, or maybe around the office.
I have an iPhone, but so far my iPad goes with me everywhere as well.
Isn't it amazing just have useful the iPad has turned out to be?
Mine doesn't go out of the house with me, but then I'm a stay at home grandmother and I'm not out running around all too often. I babysit my granddaughter and it's in my lap all day long while I'm with her, and rarely is it out of reach.
My daughter, on the other hand, is a college student and she never leaves home without hers!
My iPad goes everywhere I do. Maybe it is easier for us women who carry purses with us everywhere. I have not used my iPhone once for anything other than phone calls and texting since I got the iPad. I am even thinking about get a different phone. I don't want to keep paying for the iPhone data plan if I never use it.
My iPad is always with me. I am giving up my iPhone now with Skype v2 out. Why pay an additional $75 a month when I have everything I want with my iPad.![]()
The deck, the car, the basement (now controls my home theater), the office (when I want to do personal stuff not allowed on the work PC, the airport, the airplane, the hotel lobby, the hotel room, the endless meetings, the park (3G baby) and, of course, the head!
Since I got iteleport, I never touch my MacBook anymore. Poor thing misses me.
Mine hasn't been out of arm's reach since it was delivered last Thursday. I'm off work this week (half-term holidays here in UK) but when I'm back it'll be jammed down the side of my 'go everywhere' toolbox, or in my work backpack during the day, sofa surfing in the evenings, and catching up on emails and the odd web search, news and forums over breakfast. I also have an iPhone, and intend to carry them both, no problem.
Cheers, Pete.
#3 I agree with, but its certainly not a dealbreaker.
The rest are just silly. I mean seriously, you'll spend too much on apps if you carry it? DONT USE THIS THING, THERE"S TOO MUCH GREAT SOFTWARE FOR IT AND YOU WILL SPEND ALL YOUR MONEY!!!!
Linux on the iPad would be a fun experiment though. Be sure and post up if you can get it to run. I dont think I would do it, but it would be fun to see it running.
