iPad1 was a gift, iPad2 was through a grant at work (belongs to work but for my exclusive use at work).

My white iPad2 was a Bday gift from my wife. She originally bought me the iPad but then we learned about the iPad2 coming out so we returned my iPad and waited till the release day for the iPad2 and we stood in line to get it. She even got herself one a black one since I had to have the white one.
