Last week we told you all about a sort-of bodged iPad mini robbery that occurred at John F. Kennedy airport in New York recently. In one sense it was successful, as the perpetrators got away with $1.5 million-worth of iPad minis, but it seems that as events continue to unfold, the suspects were not that clever after all. BGR writes that today an employee at the airport in question has been arrested, after allegedly making suspicious remarks to his fellow airport workers about the location of a forklift and about the arrival of the iPad minis. The New York Post says that the man in question, Renel Rene Richardson, is reported as having been the lookout for the heist gang, keeping watch while his two friends used the airport forklift to carry away the shipment of iPad minis. They were also interrupted during the robbery and forced to flee, leaving the remaining iPads.
