Following on from a scoop tweeted by 9to5 Mac on Wednesday, TechCrunch is now saying that it has heard from a source close to Apple’s supply chain that the iPad mini will be going on sale on November 2, which would be just a week-and-a-half after Apple is set to launch the new iPad on October 23. Another website, Geeky Gadgets, also named November 2 as the day that the iPad mini will arrive in stores and will be delivered to those who get their pre-orders in quick enough. TechCrunch says that its source on the matter has proved to be reliable in the past. There is no word as yet as to when pre-orders will actually commence, but with the most recent iPad, launched earlier this year, pre-orders commenced immediately after the launch event, so it’s possible that will happen this time around, although for the iPhone 5, which was announced on September 12, pre-orders did not start until September 14.
