Madden NFL 11 for iPad has arrived in the iPad App Store for £7.49/$12.99. The game features 32 NFL teams in authentic stadiums, with updated rosters containing nearly 2,000 real players, and thanks to the superior HD graphics of the iPad version, you’ll even be able to see the players names on their jerseys.
As far as controls are concerned, the control set has been maximized to suit each device, with the iPad version featuring a unique passing wheel that won’t be available on any other device. Other iPad-specific features include a series of free iPad updates that are scheduled to start in time for the kick-off to the NFL regular season, and include a multiplayer mode and retro-style Vintage Voltage Football.
As far as general, non-iPad specific features of the game are concerned, fans can look forward to the all-new “Total Defensive Control”, or TDC, feature, which enables players to pause the action, position their defence and deliver game-changing hits. The new “GameFlow” playbook that’s based on the console game’s new feature is another addition, designed to ensure that players spend less time in the playbook and more time on the field, keeping the game’s momentum going and shortening overall time per play.
“Hot Routes Everywhere” is another innovative feature, where players pick almost any football player pre-snap and literally draw their movement on the field while creating the play on the go.
Available gameplay modes include Season Mode, where you can play through an entire 16-game schedule, making trades and tracking stats for a team and the entire league, and Playoffs Mode, where you can replay last season’s historic playoffs all the way to the Super Bowl.
