Philippe Starck-Designed Parrot Zik Wireless Headphones Controlled by iPhone App

Engadget often features some really nice kit that makes you either want to buy it, or wish that you could buy it! For example, take a look at these Philippe Starck designed Parrot Zik wireless headphones, which even come complete with their own iPhone app to control their various features. Now thatís what I call a pair of headphones! Engadget writes that the headphones, which were announced in Hong Kong earlier in the year, and which are also NFC-enabled as well as having active noise-cancelling features and Bluetooth, will be available worldwide from August, for a price of $440. Engadget seems very impressed with the sound of the headphones, and says that the accompanying app can be used to toggle the active noise cancellation on and off, as well as controlling the concert hall effects and the equalizer. Engadget notes that even if the unitís swappable battery runs out of charge, the Zik can still be used as a set of passive headphones via the included 3.5mm audio cable, although you wonít of course be able to use the noise-cancelling feature without the battery. Be sure to check out the excellent video at the top of the post, it really shows the different ways in which the headphones work in different noisy environments.
