CNET's Circuit Breaker blog is reporting that an Apple spokeswoman has confirmed the existence of the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch security hole that was revealed earlier this week, whereby your device could be infected with malicious code should you be unlucky enough to download an infected PDF. As CNET says, the flaw was such a potentially serious one that even the German government issued an official warning to its citizens.

According to CNET, the Apple spokeswoman issued the following statement:

"We're aware of this reported issue, we have already developed a fix and it will be available to customers in an upcoming software update."

The spokeswoman did not give any indication as to when the update might be made available, so until it arrives, all iPad users and all iPhone and iPod touch users running iOS 4 should try and avoid downloading any PDFs, or at least take great care when doing so.

Are they working on a fix for the WiFi connectivity problems of iPod Touch & iPad users running iOS4? That's serious too, imho!

Isnt this more of a Adobe problem to solve?

Mr Lee the majority of us don't have wifi problems and there are a number of reasons and cures for those that do. Since there have been quite a few forum threads regarding this, could I suggest you do some searches for previous wifi postings here.
Hopefully you should find suggestions that are helpful.

Apparently, its kind of both, but mostly how the iPad handles this filetype. Just don't click links from webpages or email to open files if you aren't 100% certain who is providing the link and if they can be trusted. That's common sense anyway. Remember that trusted sources can be hacked or spoofed. If an email or page telling you to click a link seems out of the blue or unusual, investigate further.
