My "new iPad" is my first Apple product from what see of iOS 6 it will be my last Apple product. I just can't get into this Apple religion. Apple maps appear to be pure garbage when compared to Google with street view. Everyone is raving about Flyover. Lol. Useless junk

Just switch to Android. The Apple universe is not right for everyone.

Apple and Google are at war, and if you need tight Google integration into your world, stick with a Google platform.

    It's that simple.

Personally, I've never used Street View, and the new maps application serves my needs just fine. Nothing missing for me.

Flyover - Sensational Innovation for IOS 6

As an adventurer and explorer and assuming the flyover is not limited to cities in the same mold and functionality of of Google Earth then I believe this would be phenomenal feature set which I look forward to exploring in full. To have flyover as a resource for adventure planning is a wonderful asset and safety aid in areas and countries less familiar. From what i have seen at the Dev Conference and on you tube the upgrade in functionality, eye recognition and speed will be a tremendous demonstration of innovation by Apple which I am looking forward to exploring in a real world scenario.

Unfortunately for you, it IS limited to cities – and only a few of them, at that. I think you'll find they have already been fully explored.

Even though I don't use the Google maps app, I do agree with this sentiment. The Google map app ought to be available via the app store. If it is free, I don't see how Apple can deny them.

What bothers me is that iOS 6 is getting fatter. 64GB is just not enough space.

This is useful for some people who need it. But I hope they release an app that you can easily close an application.

ANOTHER good reason not to upgrade to iOS 6, and instead stick with tried and tested Google Maps.
