Great update, thanks!
It's about time, it's all late and still not 100% sure but well see how MS paved its way to the iOS.
Don't think we will see an MS Office for iPad anytime soon. MS are bringing out Windows RT at the end of the year for ARM tablets and will be releasing a specific Office 2010 app for Windows RT.
Microsoft are hoping to branch into pads with a sandboxed system similar to Apple.
As this is a new push into the tablet arena for them, I doubt they will release an app for their main competitor's OS.
The picture could have been of the new Office 2010 for Windows RT.
CLOSING APPS: If an app has stopped responding or closes on launch, try the following: * Home screen * click the Home button twice * Tap and hold on the app * When it jiggles, tap the (-) to close it * Double-click the Home button and re-open the app
I find the pseudo office apps in iCloud more than sufficient for my use ... And they are free
Excuse me that should be Cloudon vice iCloud .... In my last post
I've used cloudon as well. It is pretty good for a free Microsoft. But may I suggest Onlive Desktop! Pretty awesome and it looks exactly like Microsoft on the computer. Also free!Originally Posted by rugger
FWIW, CloudOn lets you use your DropBox account for free. Onlive Desktop requires $4.99 per month for DropBox integration.
iPad 3rd gen 64 GB 4G
True bug Onlive does come with its own 2GB free cloud storage.Originally Posted by skallal
Tbh I think they are too late to market as most people have already developed workarounds or alternatives.
It will certainly sell well, but nowhere near as well as it would have done if they had been quicker.
