I can see some of those trends, but obviously lots of exceptions on all sides. I would say these things are somewhat true of the hardcore "macevangelist" and the hardcore "anti-Apple" nerds. Most users are less enthusiastic about either side and fall somewhere in the middle. I'm sort of anti-apple in principle, but the iPad is the only thing really in its class and it does what I need, so I bought it.

Pointless and flawed study... I quote

The Study

From March through May of 2010 MyType surveyed over 20,000 of its users on Facebook about Apple’s iPad to reveal the personality traits, values, demographics and interests that drive differences in opinion about the new tablet computer"

The surveyed was only people use Facebook and are "users" on MyType...... not a cross section of iPad owners at all. That would be like standing on wall street and interviewing iPad owners... and then proclaiming that most iPad owners were in the financial industry.... silly and pointless...

Hardly seems like a scientific survey.
