Pocket Gamer reports today that the iPad version of Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is out tomorrow. As Square fans will doubtless know, the classic game was originally on the PlayStation back in 1997 (although it was never released in Europe), and more recently it has appeared on PSP and iPhone. According to Pocket Gamer the iPad version has been fully optimized for the tablet, eradicating the fixed camera angles and long load times and adding enhanced images. Square Enix has also promised to update the game periodically with fresh high-res character art, and new features, such as the ability to skip cutscenes and fast-forwarding for battles. As usual with most Square Enix games, however, FFT will set you back a pricey $17.99/£12.99. Still, although pricey, at least the fans know they’ll be getting a top quality game with Square Enix, so for most fans the expense will be worth it.
