Ubisoft announced today that its real-time board game title for iPad, Assassin’s Creed Recollection, is now available for free in the App Store for a very limited time. The game gives players the chance to live an entirely new experience in the world of Assassin’s Creed, competing in political battles with key characters and locations from the original console game franchise. The app also enables fans to discover and collect a wide variety of artwork created for the Assassin’s Creed games on their iPads.

As you might expect from the Assassin’s Creed franchise, there’s plenty of in-depth gameplay for fans to get their teeth into, with an eight-to-ten hour narrative experience with 20 story missions, taking players on an intriguing journey from Barcelona to Constantinople. You can also challenge your friends and other players from around the world online in intense real-time battles via Game Centre, where your strategies and abilities will be truly put to the test. Looks like a really beautiful extension of the always intriguing and captivating Assassin’s Creed universe. Make sure you’ve got plenty of room on your iPad though, its 339 MB!
