Channel 4 in the UK has just announced that it has finally launched a iPhone/iPod touch version of its 4oD iPad app, as well as updating its iPad app by introducing a new Search function, and the ability to download programmes that you pay for via iTunes. Available as a free download, the catch-up app enables viewers in the UK to catch up on Channel 4 programmes from the past 30 days when on the go, on any of their iOS mobile devices. According to Channel 4, both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad versions of the app now have 3G browsing enabled, although video playback is still only available via Wi-Fi to ensure the best-quality video viewing. The app was designed by Nice Agency, who also designed the initial iPad version.
