It's not that i'm an apple devote, but when a product like the iPad is really epic compared to the rest, it is no surprise that Apple dominates that market.

Other tablets band together and project market share as a group "android", were as apple will always stand alone and still manage to take the overall share by a significant margin.

The "Flash Dispute" cannot go on forever, this also seems to be the only selling point used by the other tablets out there. The notorious Blackberry tv campaign using the Flash Gordon theme tune just proves that this is the only advantage these other tablets have over the IPad. Taking that catchy theme tune away from the add and all the meaning behind it, all that's left is a run of the mill "attempt".

Agreed. Hyundai's are now shipping with iPad's to replace the old school paper, car instruction manual. How awesome is that? Other car makers will soon jump on board too. (Why didn't Volkswagen think of this?) So in my opinion, the iPad is the staple of what's to come. Other tablets came to the table to late... After dinner was served.

Let's consider that Apple would have been the late guest to this tablet dinner table...

Samsung and Motorola would have 90% of he market and Android would be the new Windows on the tablet market. So how would that translate?

    - Car dealers would offer a Xoom/Galaxy with a new car
    - Ads on websites would give you the chance to win a brand new Galaxy Tab
    - And so on...

I'm still asking my self those questions:

    - Would there be an Market Store for Android?
    - Do cheaper devices would have a better chances of adoption?
    - What would be the price of a standard tablet?
    - would Flash be integrated as it is currently?
    - How many apps would be available?

Remember, you are now in a market where there is no iPad. The iPod and iPhone are as popular as it is...

Just changing the equation where the iPad came on the market after everybody else. What would that market be? What would be the big picture the day before the new iPad and then 6 months or a year after?.

The easiest way to tell if a tablet is doing any good, is if after the initial production and shipment, if they are still building more of the same tablet. So far that has not occurred for anyone other then apple. That is how you know when a tablet failed.
