Apple has had a very successful product on it's hands with the iPad. Before the release many people said it would be a flop... that it duplicated functionality of other devices, that it just wouldn't sell. Apple has proved them wrong. Not only has the iPad created a whole new hardware category, but it's combined the functionality of so many devices into one, and it's done it in a way that people feel is superior to the older devices. All of this is reflected in the fact that Apple has sold over 2 million iPads in 60 days.

The International release of the iPad seems to be going superbly for Apple as well.

that's an average of more than 33,000 iPads being sold each day, VERY impressive and those numbers are only going to grow once it becomes available in more and more countries!

I do believe some 'experts' said that Apple would be lucky to sell 2.5 million in a year. I wonder if they are happy in their new job?

Take the average price of $600.00 dollars each and multiply it by 2 million it boggles my mind.

It just goes to show that if you build a quality product that fits a market need, you will be successful. This market was wide open..... Sony could have made it, Dell could have made it, HP could have made it, but they didn't. They did not have the vision or innovative drive to do it. And now once again they are reduced to copying, and trying to make a iPod/iPhone/iPad "killer".

Apple earned their success, congrats to them.....
